About the Author
Franklin is a screenwriter, playwright, director, and best selling novelist. Her award winning play trilogy THE BRONTE GIRLS has been adapted into a TV series in development with ZDFe. Her debut novel, THE THING THAT HAPPENED WHEN WE WERE LITTLE, Book 1 in THE SCARED TRILOGY, premiered at number 7 in New Us Horror on Amazon. As the daughter of a college football coach, Franklin lived in her fair share of small towns. Growing up, she struggled with the relationship between tradition and trauma in the South but learned never to underestimate the value of Southern grit, especially after moving to NYC. Her work spans genres and mediums, but always searches for the heart, humor and heat in every story.
